Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Transfer to Masai Mara National Park:
After an early breakfast and a brief orientation from your GS Uganda Travel Guide/driver, begin your 13-day Masai Mara Wildlife & Uganda Gorilla Trekking Safari. The Masai Mara National Reserve is one of East Africa’s most iconic wildlife areas, with rolling grasslands and undulating hills that support some of the continent’s richest and most diverse wildlife populations. Upon arrival in the Masai Mara, Kenya, check in to your lodge for lunch, then set out on an afternoon game drive to start spotting the Big Five and other savanna species.

Day 2: Game Drive in Masai Mara National Park
After breakfast, set out on a morning game drive to spot wildebeest, gazelles, giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest, and a variety of bird species—with the chance of seeing a leopard or lion before returning to the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast we depart for Lake Nakuru national park, on Masai Mara & Uganda Safari. It is an interesting drive letting you see the salt lakes and go through Naivasha area. In the afternoon we check in to the hotel and rendezvous.

Day 5: Game Drive in Lake Nakuru Park and transfer to Uganda
After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, renowned for its seasonal flocks of pink flamingos and diverse aquatic birds. From the hilltops above the lake, take in panoramic views and look out for the rock hyrax—a small mammal that is the elephant’s closest living relative. Afterward, have lunch en route in Nakuru town, then drive toward Eldoret and continue to the Ugandan border, crossing into Uganda for an overnight stay before proceeding to Mbale for the night.

Day 6: Transfer to Jinja & visit source of the Nile

After breakfast, your safari will take you to Eastern Uganda starting with Jinja, with a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres, take photos and also buy some souvenirs, set off for Jinja arriving in the evening. In the afternoon you go for a boat-ride to see the source of the Nile, our target being the city of Jinja is to visit the source of the Nile and the Victoria Nile meets Lake Victoria.

Day 7: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast we will drive to kibale with a stopover to have lunch in Fort portal with views of tea plantations along the way as we check in late afternoon. A night in this forest gives you the calls from the nocturnal life plus famous Frog concerts in this forest area revealing a true pristine Africa.

Day 8: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale Forest
Proceed early morning at 6:30am for full day chimpanzee tracking experience following them from nest to nest. While tracking, you will be able to spot different animal species like the Red Colobus, Black and white Colobus, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Olive Baboon, Red-tailed Monkey, and L’Hoest’s Monkey among others and different bird species.

Day 9: Visit the crater lakes and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast you go for a crater lake exploration walk with beautiful nature and then we drive further southwards with the Rwenzori ranges.
Enjoy an en route lunch in Kasese and stop over at the equator and continue through the park to the lodge at the edge of Queen Elizabeth national park.

Day 10: Game-drive & boat-cruise on the Kazinga Channel
Have an early breakfast and continue on you Maasai Mara and Uganda Gorilla Safari, discover Queen Elizabeth national park with an early morning game-drive that exposes us to diverse animals including; the Big 5, Elephants, Buffalos, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along the and many more species that are residents to this park.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a 3 hrs boat-cruise on the famous Kazinga channel, a 36km channel linking Lake George – Lake Edward.

Day 11: Transfer to Bwindi Forest via Ishasha sector
TWith an early breakfast, leave the main area in the morning to drive to Ishasha, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth national park. Upon arriving in Ishasha we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with Topis and the southern version of Elephants to hopefully get the Lions high in the Fig tree branches.

Day 12: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
After breakfast, with packed lunch and drinking water you will transfer to the starting point for briefing on the dos and the don’ts while with the gorillas. You will then continue to the forest for gorilla tracking following them. This activity can last from a few hours up to a full day, depending on the location of the gorillas as they range freely in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. An unforgettable hour is then spent with the gorillas. This Impenetrable Forest is full of birds, butterfly and plant species plus forest hog, forest Elephants, Statungas and Dikers.

Day 13: Transfer to Entebbe / Kampala
After breakfast we start the journey to Entebbe with an en-route lunch and stopover at the Equator and you can pose on the spot where the northern and southern hemispheres meet.
