Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival, City Tour and transfer to Volcanoes National Park (Parc National des Volcans) for mountain Gorilla Tracking in Rwanda.

Upon arriving in Kigali, you will be taken on a city tour where you will have the opportunity to explore the bustling Kigali local market, the informative National Museum, and the solemn genocide memorial sites. After lunch in the city, you will be transported to the north to the stunning Volcanoes National Park in Ruhengeri, , home to a population of over 400 mountain gorillas. Experience and take part in cultural encounters with local communities, offering a deeper understanding of Rwanda’s people, culture, history and way of life.

At the end of the day, return to your accommodation, which is ideally located for viewing endangered Rwanda Mountain Gorillas in their natural habitat. Enjoy delicious Rwandan cuisines served with warm hospitality, take walks, and appreciate the beautiful surrounding landscape. Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Tracking in  Parc National des Volcans then transfer to Kigali airport for your departure

This is the last day of your 2 days mountain Gorilla Tracking rwanda adventure, after breakfast early in the morning, we will head to the ORTPN offices (Office Rwandais du Tourisme et des Parcs Nationaux) for a briefing before starting our thrilling gorilla trekking adventure. The hike will take us through the refined foothills of the Virunga, offering breathtaking views in every direction. As we enter the national park, we will be surrounded by the lush rainforest, alive with the calls of colorful birds and the chattering of rare golden monkeys. We may even come across fresh spoor of the park’s elusive populations of buffalo and elephant. Through gaps in the forest canopy, we will catch glimpses of the park’s magnificent peaks.

While gorilla trekking can be challenging, encountering these gentle giants will make it all worth it. You will have the opportunity to watch them in their natural habitat, observing as the adults feed their young ones, groom themselves, and rest while the playful youngsters swing from vines.

Volcanoes National Park is an incredible destination that provides a chance to witness some of the world’s most endangered animals in their natural surroundings. The park’s Virunga Mountains are home to a significant population of mountain gorillas, and guided treks with experienced rangers offer an unforgettable experience of observing these magnificent creatures. The park is also home to golden monkeys, which can be spotted during guided treks. Birdwatchers will also appreciate the park’s diverse range of bird species.

The park’s stunning landscapes are characterized by rolling hills, lush rainforests, and towering volcanoes.
