Experience the ultimate adventure with our 3 day Rwanda Gorilla Trekking Tour

Embark on an unforgettable adventure with our 3 day Rwanda gorilla trekking safari tour, where you’ll have the unique opportunity to encounter the endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. This safari takes you to Parc National des Volcans, the best place in the world to see these magnificent creatures.

Parc National des Volcans is renowned for its rich biodiversity, lush rainforest, and the majestic Virunga Mountains. It’s also home to Dian Fossey’s pioneering work with mountain gorillas, as depicted in the famous movie “Gorillas in the Mist”.

To ensure an authentic gorilla experience, the park has limited the number of visitors per day, with only 8 people allowed to visit each gorilla family group. A total of 10 gorilla families are habituated to human presence, and visitors are allowed to spend one hour with the gorillas.

With over 30 gorilla trekking permits available per day, it’s highly recommended to book in advance to secure your spot. Each permit costs $1500 USD and is well worth the investment for this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Join us on this extraordinary journey and witness the majesty of the mountain gorillas in Parc National des Volcans. Our experienced guides will take you on a trek through the dense rainforest, immersing you in the stunning natural beauty of Rwanda. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to encounter one of the world’s most magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Day 2: Go for Gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park Rwanda in search for Gorillas in the mist and Golden Monkeys

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing before embarking on the gorilla trek in the light forest on the slopes of the Virunga Mountains. It usually takes 2-6 hours to encounter the mountain gorillas, but the moment you lay eyes on them, all the fatigue and hustles are forgotten. Remember to maintain a distance of at least 6 meters from the mountain gorillas to avoid disease transmission.

To protect the mountain gorillas, the park limits the number of visitors per day, allowing only 8 people to visit each gorilla family group. There are a total of 10 gorilla families that are habituated to human presence. After the gorilla trek, you can climb the Visoke volcano, track the golden monkeys or visit the Karisoke Research Centre, which Dian Fossey, the famous primatologist, set up to protect the endangered mountain gorillas.
